The largest single-year gain on the scale (+13), spent almost entirely inside the print code. The alphabetic principle faces its KS-10 audit — a teacher-run timed rapid letter-sound naming probe where hesitation, not error, is the tell; the first internalization on the ELA meridian and the twin of counting-and-cardinality at MATH 14. Decoding must exit at KS-6 — the student explains why the e is silent and why the c softens — with KS-5 evidence gathered by unannounced post-break retests, not the Friday list.
