Multiplication and division facts are driven KS-4 to KS-5 by spaced repetition; fractions advance from partitioned shapes (KS-2) to fractions as numbers on the number line (KS-3–4). Multi-step word problems begin genuine KS-7 work for addition and subtraction — concepts introduced two levels earlier.
